20 June 2024Carpal tunnel syndrome is a “double compression” syndrome: the nerve is compressed both at the spinal level and at the peripheral level (wrist, elbow, etc.). This latter compression is often due to repetitive movements (use of keyboard, mouse, sewing needles, etc.).
Numerous studies and testimonials demonstrate the effectiveness of chiropractic care for carpal tunnel syndrome and its superiority over other much more harmful methods (anti-inflammatories, cortisone, injections, surgery).
Studies:
1- A study conducted at the Washington School of Medicine showed that carpal tunnel syndrome is the result of posture problems causing nerve irritation both at the wrist and the neck. This is why, even though carpal tunnel surgery reduces some symptoms, it is ineffective for other persistent issues such as neck stiffness and shoulder or arm pain.

2- Treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome: an objective and subjective evaluation.
Thirty-eight patients suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome received chiropractic adjustments. The results showed an improvement in the range of motion, muscle strength, and a reduction in pain and discomfort.
