Tendinitis is an inflammation of the tendons, typically occurring during repetitive movements. For epicondylitis, it involves inflammation of the tendons at the elbow. It results from repeated movements of the arm, often involving repeated rotation of the forearm: tennis, golf, climbing, vehicle driving, computer use, and many others. The pain or hypersensitivity caused by tendinitis can be very severe and may radiate throughout the limb (leg or arm), sometimes leading to an inability to use the affected joint.
Chiropractic care can treat most cases of tendinitis with specific adjustments to the affected joints to relieve the inflamed tendons. We also use very effective modern techniques such as Kinesio-Taping, Graston, posture advice, and appropriate exercises.
